Living In nenu/self (Me

According to Sri Ramana Maharshi major part of the philosophy is associated with silence only. He sometimes used to explain in different ways to different devotees based on their psychological status regarding a single aspect. Now a days in this Hi-tech world many writers are interpreting the philosophy of Ramana Maharshi in different ways thereby leading to new conclusions. Those who have the power of introspection ditation)can find truth by self enquiry which is described in above pages, whereas common people can acquire it by practicing living in Nenu(Meditation).
It is impossible to have a picture in single colour, we can appreciate it only if there are minimum of two colours other wise there will be nothing seen. Likewise there in no value to light without darkness, there can be no pleasure without pain (we cant even imagine such a thing) as it defies logic. So in this world there is duality everywhere, such as cold-hot, long-short, static-movement, good-bad, like this everything is dual. Like wise action-reaction are universal truths, there is no action without reaction and vice versa.
Before death all people don’t experience pleasure & sorrow equally. Some may experience pleasure more and others sorrow. But they have to born again and have to experience the other one, this is Karma Philosophy , otherwise it is against logic. So for this transit from one birth to another there is a need of an agent which we can name it as "Soul".
Many people don’t work with complete concentration(meditation), their body is at one place and mind at other during work. So they can not obtain good results from it. Some start the work with concentration but they do not persist with it till last.
For example some people learn cooking show concentration at first but as time goes it becomes a habit. They get bored of it and lose concentration. Thereby working like a machine and the boredom leads to frustration, anger, which ultimately disturbs their health.
If we are able to develop concentration on our work and see new angles (or positive feeling every time) every time we do our work (instead of making it a habit) we can break the above chain of events. We should involve in a work with both body and mind at same place and that is concentration (Meditation) or Living in Nenu. The result of meditation is peace. Then any work such as cooking, sweeping, washing, eating, drinking, office work, going to college school etc., absolutely any work will become meditation. Like this if we are able to do any work with meditation after very much practice can become Avadanam regarding which is explained in later pages.
By doing every work with meditation we can coach the mind, so that it listens to soul which means our body is in our control. By practice of Yoga we can make our body flexible and by being able to sit in a posture for long time (a person able to sit in a posture for long time without pain or negative feeling). Mind should also become flexible enough so that we can make it listen to our soul, then only it is clear that our body listens to us. Hence we can reach the zenith of perfection in any work we take up by meditating on the work.
Until now we have discussed about meditation, but to go forward in meditation first we should control our thoughts, which are of two types:- Associate and Realistic.
We should make a habit of inviting only realistic thoughts in every work and keeping away the associate thoughts.
Eq. : Every morning we brush our teeth, during brushing we come across different thoughts, some are associate and some are realistic which is further explained below,
Realistic Thoughts : Actually realistic thoughts are, thoughts related to the work we are doing, like in the above example there are thoughts such as
Why we brush everyday ? to clean our teeth to prevent bad smell from mouth, to be fresh, to prevent dental caries (and other positive feeling related to it) etc. These are all realistic thoughts.
Associative Thoughts : These are unnecessary, useless, not related to the actual work for example they may be –
Where we bought this brush from, why this brush only, by remembering the colour of teeth of girl in the ad we had seen in TV, actually ads are good than films, how beautiful that girl in add, oh! that anchors, what a dresses they wear etc.. these are all unnecessary associate thoughts.
So we should make a habit of thinking only relevant & related thoughts to the work we are doing at that time and avoid unnecessary associative thoughts.
Like wise we should enjoy every aspect of work we do and think about only that at the time of work such as thinking about bath and freshness during bath, avoiding thoughts such as soaps, ads etc. and at the time of combing our head we should think only about comb and hair thats all and, should experience the feel of combing and thinking positively about strongness of hair and its consistency etc.
But some may question that, in this busy life how can we stop bothering about so many things which trouble us. So Multitasking has become the norm of the day. But this is not possible for untrained mind to accomplish it. We try to do a lot of things at a single time and fail to do even a single one perfectly.
But by this practice of single minded concentration on the sole work we do,and by its constant we reach to such levels of perception that we will be able to do many things at a single moment of time and that too with perfection. This will lead to the actual path of multitasking.
We can see the example of such an achievement in our mythological stories wherein Dasharatha(which literally means one who can handle rein of 10 chariots at a single time) was famed for his dexterity in charactering.
So if we live in meditation try with a strong (stable) mind nothing is impossible. So by concentrating on every work (living in Nenu), we do in life by living in harmony with surroundings and keeping body, mind in control we can live happily till our last breath.
This can be achieved by meditation and when we can accept both pleasure and sorrow with equal enthusiasm and very slowly we reach "Snithapragna"(Equanimity).
According to our mythology, Chitragupta records the bad and good thoughts or actions of people and submits to Yama Dharmaraja who punishes or awards the person, but if we are able to have full concentration (meditation) we dont think much about the consequences of the work we are doing, thereby not attaching any positive or negative feelings with that action, being so deeply involved in that action itself.
So when we do not come across any negativity or positivity in our work (Nishkama Karma) their is nothing to be recorded by Chitragupta, who only records only good or bad actions done by a person, thereby avoiding all these "Prarabdha Karmas" we can avoid re birth, that is what is liberation (Moksha).
So according to "sri Ramana Maharshi" "live in NENU (Meditation) and find truth" This is one insight into the philosophy propounded by SRI RAMANA MAHARSH which is very useful for practice even for a common man.
